Evocative of the feeling of possibility and splendor found in a walk at twilight – perhaps in a new place, or with a new love – “Twilight Whispers” serenades us with the last twinkles of light as the day fades into night. The melody utilizes a leading tone that doesn’t quite resolve, which guides the listener along with a promise whispered just out of reach. We feel a sense of longing and nostalgia, not only for what was, but for what could have been, and for what could be yet to come.
