The “blade of truth” is knowledge. “Blade of Truth” is a tribute to our nation’s educators and students who strive daily to make a better future through knowledge and experience.
A traditional march, it is accessible to less experienced players, but with the opportunity to explore style and dynamic contrast. Note that the introduction anticipates the second strain, and the final strain is a reprise of the first strain. This can provide an opportunity to discuss repetition and contrast in musical forms.
