Daniel Bukvich

Daniel Bukvich has been a member of the faculty of the Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho since 1978. He holds a Master of Music degree in composition and arranging from the University of Idaho. He began composing while still in high school in Butte, Montana. His compositions and arrangements are performed worldwide by symphonic bands, wind ensembles, orchestral winds, choirs, jazz bands, symphony orchestras, and marching bands. He currently resides in Moscow, Idaho, where he is Professor of Music at the Lionel Hampton School of Music. He teaches percussion, freshman music theory and ear training, composition, and jazz choirs. He continues to perform regularly as a jazz drummer throughout the United States and Canada. In July 1999, he was the Commissioned Composer for the National Intercollegiate Band, which was part of the national convention of Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary band fraternity and sorority, in St. Louis, Missouri.
