Earl J. Fox Jr.
Earl J. Fox, Jr., a native of New Orleans, received his B.M.Ed. and M.M.Ed. from the University of Southern Mississippi. He obtained a Ph.D. in music from Louisiana State University. Earl taught band for twenty years in the Orleans Parish School System, having served as director at both Capdau Junior High and Abramson Senior High School. He later worked at Holy Cross School in New Orleans. In 2019 Earl retired after teaching elementary music for twenty-two years at South Side Elementary School in Picayune, Mississippi, where he now resides. Earl has been a guest clinician/conductor for several honor bands. He continues to serve as an adjudicator for band festivals. Additionally, he has written numerous arrangements for bands in many states, and on an international scale, he has written for Marching Band Sampoerna located in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has had original marching band music published. Earl is a National Board Certified teacher. He is a writer-member of American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, and a member of both Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a professional music fraternity.
