Todd A. Harris

Todd Allan Harris is composer and poet in residence at the WyndFall Conservatory, California. A commissioned composer and research scientist, Harris wrote his first major orchestral work at 17, and he has developed his own Modular Tonal system of composition. Among his numerous major projects, Todd composed all of the music for his sister Tracy Harris’ Flute Boot Camp Manual and The Lyric Flutist. Performed and recorded by major artists, several of his works appeared in live performances at the 2014 and 2016 National Flute Association conventions.

His writing has been awarded several grants including an ACF/Irvine Foundation grant and an Edith Pillsbury Grant for his first piano concerto. A lifelong Californian, he is married to concert pianist Svetlana Rudikova-Harris. His first major flute work was commissioned by Dr. Julius Baker in 1983. He is a graduate of the University of California – Santa Barbara and a member of the National Physics Honor Society, Sigma Pi Sigma.
