Description

Timepiece is a work written for concert band that utilizes Windsor Chimes as the basis for a clever musical representation. The piece explores the concept of time by use of asymmetric meter, augmentation, reduction of rhythmic figures, and rhythmic layering. Its charm is heard with the use of ticking clock sounds, cuckoo birds and more.
