Before Their Time commemorates the tragic passing of two students in a car accident. The lives of youth are precious; when we lose them abruptly it magnifies the loss. The expressive opening captures the bittersweet emotions before moving into a more active section that reflects all the energy and vigor of youth. The natural energy of the music builds to a glorious moment and two musical climaxes punctuate the poignant conclusion.
