This piece will bring out a variety of skills and playing styles from your orchestra. The opening Prelude uses 20th-century harmonies in chorale-style writing. The Scherzo is a delightful call-and-response game using both pizzicato and arco. The Oriental Serenade is a musical depiction of the Far East, and the dramatic finale, Procession, rounds off the piece with style.
