Description
French composer Jacques Offenbach’s opera, Voyage to the Moon was written in 1875 and is based on on Jules Verne’s novel From the Earth to the Moon. The opera was an elaborate fantastical affair with 4 Acts, 24 sets, 673 costumes and two full ballets with Ballet of the Snow Flakes concluding Act 3. Col. John Bourgeois has wonderfully arranged this timeless work for the concert band.
