Wingert-Jones Publications Aspires Higher with String Orchestra Music New Release
Lakeland, Florida (March 20, 2025) – Comprising 25 original and newly arranged String Orchestra works, the new 2025-2026 String Orchestra music catalog is released by Wingert-Jones Publications. A balanced catalog with new pieces to suit every concert program and grade level, the 2025 release also includes live professional recordings and ScoreVideos of each piece, along with the new addition of easy-to-access digital program notes. These resources facilitate easy music review and selection, and can be used as tools with students in the classroom. The recordings are streaming on the publisher’s website, and will soon be streaming on all major platforms.
“I’m struck by how the pieces in this year’s release deliver an encouraging message through music,” says Tyler Arcari, Director of Music Production and Editing. “When choosing to play these new works, I think directors and students will feel proud of themselves, and be reminded of all they’ve accomplished in their classrooms. The music in our catalog follows a theme of paying homage to our roots, and then building on that foundation with works that include Waltzes and dances, reimaginings of classic folk styles, and sweeping ballads.”
The publisher’s 2025-26 String Orchestra release includes works from returning composers Bud Woodruff, Emily Golan, Erica Donahoe, Janelle Zook Cunalata, Jason Taurins, Jay Coles, Matthew Gelfer, Perry Holbrook, Peter Terry, Steve Parsons, and Tyler Arcari, as well as five new composers who the publisher welcomes into its String Orchestra catalog: Alexandra Skevington, Dión Morales, Peter Sciaino, William Owens, and Ruth Brittin.
Each score and its accompanying parts are meticulously edited and set for ease of reading. They include unique features to increase accessibility and help facilitate efficient rehearsals. Optional bowings have been carefully selected to provide an educationally sound experience from the first read. The catalog has been organized to clearly delineate grade levels following Wingert-Jones Publications’s color-coded series names which help directors select the most appropriate music for their ensembles: First Achievement (.5), Early Achievement (1), Achievement (1.5), Achievement Plus (2-2.5), Concert (3-3.5) and Symphonic (4 and up).
Wingert-Jones Publications’s 2025-2026 String Orchestra music is available from music retailers and the publisher.

About Wingert-Jones Publications: Founded in 1964, Wingert-Jones Publications started as a labor of love between two instrument salesmen with a passion for grand, high-end band music. Merrill Jones started small, attending the 1964 National Band Clinic with just one piece: Emperata Overture by Claude T. Smith. Wingert-Jones has grown into a nationally known publisher and has expanded its library to include orchestral and educational works. The Achievement and Early Achievement music series are among the most popular hands-on music learning collections in the U.S.
