Hunter Gregory
Hunter Gregory is a young and emerging composer and musician. He is a native of Nashville, TN and has been composing since age 10. He received his Bachelor of Music in Composition from Houghton College after studying with Dr. David Davies and Dr. Carrie Magin and earned his Master of Music in Music Theory and Composition at West Chester University of PA with Dr. Robert Maggio, Dr. Adam Silverman and Dr. Jacob Cooper. He has written for numerous ensembles, but most frequently for choir. He is an active composer and performer, and his compositions have been commissioned by middle schools, high schools, and universities across the country. He is a winner of the Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet Composition Competition and has been performed by the Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet as a part of a new music concert at the Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a performer, he has toured with numerous ensembles, including the Houghton Symphonic Winds, Houghton College Choir, and Houghton College Saxophone Quartet. In addition to saxophone and choral ensembles, Hunter is a regularly performing bassist with various groups. Hunter is also an associate and friend of the two-time-Grammy-award-winning choir, The Crossing, based in Philadelphia, PA
