Joshua Hummel

Composer, hot-beverage snob, committed Christian, and armchair theologian, Josh Hummel loves being creative and loves to inspire people with beauty and subtlety. He owns an award-winning composition studio, holds an M.A. in Theatre and a MMus. in Composition, and has studied with professors from the Hartt School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, and Julliard.

When not teaching or composing, you can find Josh reading, working on his novel, or bombing trails on his mountain bike. Most likely, though, you’ll find him enjoying his family: skiing, bikepacking, playing disc golf, or trying to win strategy games against his son, Sebi; sipping tea with Trista, his lovely wife; or cozing up with daughter, Anya, reading an improving book.
