Michael Blackwood

Michael Blackwood, a native of the St. Louis area, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education (Music) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Music degree in Composition from Webster University. He has taught strings in various schools throughout the St. Louis area, and is currently teaching in the Rockwood School District. Mr. Blackwood has written music for and conducted several school and honors groups throughout the area, and is currently at work on several new musical projects. His orchestral work, Euphoria Overture, won a spot on the inaugural Missouri Composers Concert in 2012.
