Cleverly scored with fulfilling contrapuntal writing, composer Bud Woodruff brings us a lovely new work for the developing orchestra. Waking up in the morning to that biggest and best-feeling stretch is brought to life through music!

Program Notes

A morning glory is a flowering vine whose flowers open to greet the sunlight every morning. The piece, “Morning Glory,” is written for young musicians who are opening their hearts and minds to learn new musical notations, like repeats with endings, and searching for new horizons in their playing.
