Wingert-Jones Publications Releases New Concert Band Music for 2023-24
Lakeland, Florida (May 31, 2023) – With a diverse range of levels and styles, the 2023-2024 Concert Band Music release from Wingert-Jones Publications contains new music for a variety of levels and concert programs. The publisher’s release of 39 new pieces focuses on its “Achieve Through Music” ethos, and includes educational tools for each piece, such as professional recordings streamed on all major platforms, ScoreVideos, and individual Composer Insights videos. Along with many of the beloved composers for which directors know Wingert-Jones Publications, 12 new voices were added to the composer roster for this year’s release.
“We curated this band catalog with an emphasis on the basics: great music at all grade levels for any concert experience!” explains Tyler Arcari, Director of Music Production and Editing. “The release features works at higher grade levels, staying true to the publisher’s history, while at the same time has wonderful selections for younger levels. We are excited to present a full and balanced catalog for all grade levels this year.”
New additions to this year’s catalog are works from composers and arrangers Jon Bubbett, John Dupuis, Gary Fagan, Chris Ferguson, Clifton Jones, Laurie Lafferty, James Meredith, Jason K. Nitsch, William Owens, Anthony Susi, George Sweet and Jorge L. Vargas. They are joined by the following popular composers who are returning for the 2023-24 release: Tyler Arcari, John R. About Wingert-Jones Publications: Founded in 1964, Wingert-Jones Publications started as a labor of love between two instrument salesmen with a passion for grand, high-end band music. Merrill Jones started small, attending the 1964 National Band Clinic with just one piece: Emperata Overture by Claude T. Smith. Wingert-Jones has grown into a nationally known publisher and has expanded its library to include orchestral and educational works. The Achievement and Early Achievement music series are among the most popular hands-on music learning collections in the U.S.
