New Trumpet Trio Collection of Masterworks Released by Wingert-Jones Publications
Lakeland, Florida (October 5, 2023) – Wingert-Jones Publications is proud to announce its newest release, 10 Classic Trios for Trumpet, arranged by veteran composer and arranger Gene Milford. Featuring works from timeless composers such as Mozart, Sibelius, Grieg, and others, this new book provides trumpet trios with access to some of the most well-known masterworks of the classical period. Suited for an array of musical contexts, 10 Classic Trios for Trumpet is perfect for many contexts, from pedagogic use to high school contest/festival performances and collegiate-level recitals.
“This new collection is rooted in my experience as a public school band director and belief in the value of small ensemble experience for students at all levels and the importance of exposing them to the music of the masters,” remarks arranger Gene Milford.
10 Classic Trios for Trumpet contains favorites such as Mendelssohn’s Nocturne, Mozart’s Alleluia (k.165) and Tchaikovsky’s March of the Tin Soldiers from Album for the Young and many more. All three trumpet trio parts for these pieces are included within the single volume.
